CLIENT INFORMATION
Mayhem Collectibles was founded in 1990 with the goal of providing an environment where comic and game fans, and collectors could feel at home. Over the years, the company has successfully managed to grow into two large well-stocked stores that have successfully maintained their small store feeling and reputation for great service.

SITUATION
Mayhem Collectibles decided to establish an online presence in an effort to service more effectively clients that were familiar with the company’s local stores but had moved to different geographical areas. Their first web site was launched successfully in May of 2002 and was primarily powered by Interchange, a comprehensive e-business software application provided by Red Hat. In spite of the company’s success in allowing their local and remote clients to purchase products online and providing them with a series of other services, within a relatively short period of time Mayhems’ needs outgrew Interchange’s capabilities.
