The winners of the 2008 W3 awards were announced by the International Academy of Visual Arts and Global Reach has received a Silver W3 for the creation of Blue Sky Creamery, Inc.’s website. The W3 Awards honor outstanding websites, web marketing, and web advertising created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide.

“Global Reach is honored to be considered a top contender and accept this award from the International Academy of Visual Arts; with every solution we strive to bring forward this level of creativity and innovation,” said Iacovos Zachariades, President of Global Reach.

Blue Sky Creamery, Inc. founders, Thomas Paskach and Will Schroeder, invented a ground-breaking process of flash-freezing ice cream with liquid nitrogen. Blue Sky Creamery, Inc.’s website shares information, news, and franchising opportunities with visitors, as well as providing a secure franchisee intranet.

“We are honored to be associated with the W3 awards, and are very pleased with the results of the website put together by our company and Global Reach. We started out as a simple ice cream concession company and have grown into a business that does equipment manufacturing, franchising, and ice cream production, so our website had to keep up to help us grow even more. To have this type of recognition connected to our website means we are on the right track,” said Will “Dr. Will” Schroeder, PhD and co-founder of Blue Sky Creamery, Inc.

Global Reach and Blue Sky Creamery, Inc. are both Iowa-based entrepreneurial ventures that are leaders in their respective industries.

About Blue Sky Creamery, Inc.: In the spring of 1999, while students at Iowa State University, founders Thomas (T.J.) Paskach and William (Will) Schroeder invented a new way to flash-freeze ice cream using liquid nitrogen. A year later the company was formed, a patent was pending, and a full-scale, computer-controlled prototype was ready for testing at the 2000 Iowa State Fair. Nitro Ice Cream was an instant success. In 2002, the first retail location, a new ice cream shop called the Blue Sky Creamery, opened in Ankeny, Iowa. Additional Blue Sky Creamery Ice Cream Café locations have been opened in Roseville, Eden Prairie, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, and West Des Moines, Iowa. Franchises have also been granted for factory locations in St. Louis, Phoenix, and Atlanta. For more information, please visit www.blueskycreamery.com.
