How to File Upload Using GRIP Mail

Google “online file sharing” and you’ll be served a list of about 69 million results. You can even use some of these popular solutions as a backup should the unthinkable happen to your computer. Services like Dropbox and Google Drive are fantastic for sharing files and collaborating with peers online. But there are many reasons why savvy web users will avoid these cloud-based file-sharing services. Clicking on the folders icon will bring you to an area where you can upload files to share with your friends and business contacts. Simply open up the file storage area, click the “Upload” button, and select the file or folder on your computer you wish to share.

Once a file has been uploaded to your file storage area you can edit the file to allow public access via a link. You can restrict access to your files by setting an expiration date and time (think Inspector Gadget without the exploding memo, “this message will self-destruct in 30 seconds”).  You can also protect each document with a password. In the event an undesired recipient receives your message they will be unable to access your documents unless they have the password to that document.
