Mozilla Thunderbird

To configure your email for use in Mozilla Thunderbird follow the steps below:

1. If this is a new installation of Thunderbird, you can choose to set this as the default mail client or not.

2. If prompted to create a new email address, choose Skip this and use my existing email.

3. Enter Your name (as shown to others), Email address, and Password. You can also mark if you want Thunderbird to remember you password. Once you have done this click Continue.

4. Wait for the initial server search to complete. Make sure POP3 is select, then click "Manual config".

5. Set the server settings as follows:

  • Incoming:

    • Type: POP3

    • Server Hostname: mail.globalreach.com

    • Port: 995

    • SSL: SSL/TLS

    • Authentication: Autodetect

  • Outgoing:

    • Type: SMTP

    • Server Hostname: mail.globalreach.com

    • Port: 465

    • SSL: SSL/TLS

    • Authentication: Autodetect

  • Username:

    • Incoming: Enter your full email address.

    • Outgoing: Enter your full email address.

6. Click Re-test.

7. Click Done.

8. If necessary, click Get Mail to synchronize the mail server.

*You can review your account settings by clicking the Menu icon, hovering over "Options", then choose Account Settings. From here, you can also add a new account by clicking on Account Actions then Add Mail Account.

 

You should now be setup to receive and send email with your Global Reach email via Mozilla Thunderbird. If you have any trouble with this process, please contact Global Reach Support at support@globalreach.com.
