Mailbox Migration Instructions
The mailbox migration tool makes switching email providers easy by importing email, contacts, calendars, tasks, and notes to SmarterMail from most third-party mail servers. Follow the steps below to migrate your email:
1. Login to SmarterMail
2. Click on the toolbox icon.
3. From the dropdown, select Settings.
4. On the settings page in the left sidebar, click Connectivity.
5. On the Connectivity page in the Mailbox Migration box, click the blue Migrate button.
6. Next, select the email service you would like to migrate.
7. Now, using your email login credentials, enter the following (if you are unsure of what to enter, contact your email administrator):
a. Server Address: Enter the address of the mail server (for example, 'mail.globalreach.com').
b. Type: Select either POP or IMAP.
c. Port: Enter the port number.
d. Username: Enter the email account username.
e. Password: Enter the email account password.
f. Require SSL: Toggle on if the email account requires SSL.
g. Delete existing SmarterMail mailbox items: Toggle on if you would like to clear out SmarterMail's current mailbox.
8. Click Start and let the process run.
