Ames, Iowa – Awards season is in full swing, and Global Reach, an Iowa-based web firm, is delighted to reveal that they have, once again, received several honors at the annual Horizon Interactive Awards.
The Horizon Interactive Awards is an international competition which acknowledges excellence among interactive media creators from every corner of the world. It is a highly sought after merit in the web industry and is well known for recognizing only the best in websites, videos, mobile applications, advertising campaigns and more.
Unlike other competitions, the Horizon interactive Awards seeks to level the playing field so that participants from large and small companies alike, can compete and receive credit where credit is due. The competition aims to bring to light the individuals behind some of the greatest work on the web today, regardless of the company size or previous industry accolades or notoriety.
2017’s competition received thousands of entries from around the globe, including 36 out of 50 US States and 16 other countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, UK, United Arab Emirates.
Each entry was judged by a diverse committee of volunteers, all seasoned industry experts with varying backgrounds and serving a plethora of roles within the interactive media and advertising industries.
Judges sought to award entrants with the best blend of creativity, content, and functionality. Each entry was judged and measured against the following criteria:
- Solution creativity and originality
- Overall graphic design/appearance/user experience
- Communication of message
- Technical merit
- Effectiveness of solution
